Winning a design prize provided the impetus in1996 to ultimately found d-Tail Company. Maarten Oudega (Oudega Internet Services OIS) and Mark Damman (d-Tail Communications) joined forces to satisfy the demand that was created after the prize was won. On 7 January 1998 these two businesses became one company. Since then the company has been active in interactive communication under the name d-Tail Company. In the meantime our client list has grown to include companies such as sports retailer Aktiesport, Amstgeld Effectenbank (ING Group), supermarket chain Albert Heijn, drug store chain Etos, the City of Zaanstad, Pon Equipment (with branches in the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, among others), Joop van den Ende Stage Entertainment and Zwitserleven Pensioenverzekeraar (pension insurer) .

Results achieved

 

Zaanradio

The Zaanradio website was developed by d-Tail Company and was proclaimed the “Best Local Radio Website in the Netherlands” in 1996. The restyled website received a nomination for the RTV Festival of 1999. In that year Zaanradio was proclaimed the “Best Local Radio Station in the Netherlands.” d-Tail Company handled the media presence for the company between 1998 and 2000.

 

Nationaal Comité Anti Racisme

The website for the Nationaal Comité Anti Racisme (National Commission against Racism) won a design award in December 1998. The website, with its slogan “green, yellow, black or white, we are all alike,” was developed by d-Tail Company within the scope of the European Year against Racism.

In addition to various prizes, we implemented very successful campaigns and promotional events for our customers. For example, the campaign developed by d-Tail Company for the Young Creative Award of Terre des Hommes and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received four times as many submissions as in previous years. d-Tail Company developed various diverse alternative campaigns for Aktiesport and ensured that 40 times as many people responded than had previously been the case.
